Make a change reel

Few people read a change notice. A 30-second video of what changed is much easier to take in.

Steps

  1. Open the reel maker

After you issue a new version, press ▶ Change reel in the editor. You can also start one from the Versions panel (▶ Make a change reel) or the Update all review page.

  2. Choose what it shows

What's changed shows the before → after. Whole guide makes a walkthrough of every step. System overview combines several guides for new starters.

  3. Pick a shape

16:9 for email, Teams and the intranet; 9:16 for phones.

  4. Edit the slides

Change a caption, how long a slide shows, or untick Include to leave a slide out. Preview it with ▶.

  5. Download the video

Press Download video. You get an MP4 where your computer supports it (otherwise WebM), ready to post or attach.

Tip

Keep captions to one short sentence each. The picture does most of the work.
