FlowHop privacy policy

Last updated 25 October 2026 · applies to the FlowHop extension for Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Firefox and Opera

The short version: FlowHop keeps your guides, screenshots and distribution lists only on your own computer, encrypted. We have no servers that receive them. We never see them, upload them, share them or sell them.

Who we are

FlowHop is made by Kage Lab, a business name of Cory Christian (ABN 80 695 802 826), Sydney, Australia. Contact: support@kagelab.app.

Files you download (web pages, Word, PDF, Markdown, video, .flowhop shares) are saved by you to a place you choose. What happens to them after that is up to you.

What FlowHop blurs or never records

Password fields are never recorded. Password, card and ID number fields are blurred in screenshots automatically, and Pro can also blur email addresses, phone numbers and account numbers. You can blur any other area by hand, and add websites FlowHop never records on in Settings.

What leaves your computer

Only licence information, through our payment provider ExtensionPay (extensionpay.com), which uses Stripe to process payments:

None of your guides, screenshots or lists are ever part of these requests. FlowHop has no analytics, no tracking and no advertising.

Email: FlowHop never sends email. "Tell your team" opens a prepared message in your own mail app (Outlook, Gmail or another), and you choose whether to send it. AI polish and translate use the AI built into Chrome (version 138 or later) on your own computer, where available (not available in Edge or Firefox); your text is not sent to Kage Lab or any AI service by FlowHop.

Permissions FlowHop uses

How long data is kept, and deleting it

Your guides are kept until you delete them. You can delete a guide, a distribution list or everything at any time in FlowHop's Library and Settings ("Delete all guides" in Settings also removes your distribution lists). Removing the extension deletes everything it stored.

Chrome Web Store Limited Use statement

FlowHop's use of information received from Google APIs and the browser will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. The data FlowHop handles is used only to provide its single purpose (recording browser tasks into step-by-step guides, keeping them up to date and helping you share them), is not transferred to anyone, is not used for advertising, and is not read by people.

Your rights

We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Act 1988. Because your guides and lists never reach us, we cannot see, access or correct them – they are entirely under your control on your computer. For anything we do hold (such as a purchase email address), contact support@kagelab.app to access, correct or delete it. If you're unhappy with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).

If you record screens that show other people's information, you are responsible for having the right to do so and for how you share the guide. FlowHop's blur tools help, but check each guide before sharing it.

Children

FlowHop is a workplace tool, not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If we ever change how FlowHop handles data, we'll update this page and the extension's store listing before the change takes effect, and ask for your agreement in the extension where required.
